Supervisor / Coach

Overview

Juliet is an experienced Addictions Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, and Group Facilitator specializing in mental health and substance abuse. With nine years of dedicated experience, she brings a holistic and supportive approach to improving client wellbeing. Her journey into addiction and mental health counseling was inspired by five years of work with Women's Refuge crisis line. As a fourth-generation New Zealander based in Wellington, she combines local knowledge with international experience, having spent nine years working and traveling overseas.

Supervision Approach

As a supervisor, Juliet brings discretion and a strengths-based focus to her work, creating a space where practitioners can explore challenges and receive supportive feedback. Understanding from personal experience how essential supervision is for professional growth, she ensures supervisees feel respected, understood, and supported in their practice decisions. Her supervision provides a confidential environment where practitioners can clarify uncertainties, navigate concerns, and develop clear pathways forward. Juliet's approach is informed by the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of wellness, allowing for holistic exploration of professional challenges while reaffirming and encouraging supervisees in their work.

Juliet holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Addictions Studies and a Level 6 Certificate of Addiction and Mental Health Supervision. She is a Practitioner Member and Accredited Supervisor with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners Association of Aotearoa-New Zealand (DAPAANZ).
