Careers and opportunities

Good psychology, done properly, with people who get it.

We help people, teams and whole organisations across Aotearoa be at their best. The work is diverse, it reaches further than one client at a time, and it is done by people who look after each other while they do it.

The work

Work that adds up to something.

Our work is diverse. You will not run the same caseload on repeat.

Who we work with

  • Whole organisations, getting the systems right
  • Individuals
  • Whānau
  • People living with disability and brain injury

How the work shows up

  • Consulting and training
  • Enhanced EAP
  • Coaching and supervision
  • Short-term therapy
  • Positive behaviour support

Some of it online, some of it out in the community.

You do not need to do all of this. We are just as interested in people who are excellent in a few of these areas as in those who range across many.

Who we’d love to hear from

Psychologists, counsellors, trainers and coaches.

Registered psychologists.

We are built around experienced clinicians. If you hold a current New Zealand practising certificate and you want variety rather than more of the same, we would like to know you.

We are looking for the judgement that comes with professional and lived experience, and the appetite to work across more than one part of what we do.

Counsellors and coaches.

We are also looking for two kinds of practitioner. Counsellors who bring supervision and coaching skills alongside their professional work. And professional coaches with real experience working with executive teams, consulting and training. If that is you, get in touch, even if you are not a registered psychologist.

How we look after our people

We practise what we ask of the workplaces we work with.

It would be a strange wellbeing practice that ran its own people into the ground. So we do not. Here is what that means in practice, not in principle.

Supervision, and colleagues who know their craft.

You get regular supervision, and colleagues who are genuinely skilled at this and happy to share what they know. Not a solo grind.

Workloads set on purpose.

We keep caseloads sustainable by design, not by luck. Your capacity is protected because burnt-out people do worse work, and we know it.

Backed properly.

Five weeks of leave. Private health insurance, provided. And a subsidy toward the cost of working from home. The basics done well, because they matter.

Led by people who still do the work.

We are founder-led and clinician-run. The people making the decisions understand the job because they are in it too.

We are a New Zealand practice. We honour Te Tiriti in how we work, and we expect cultural competence to be lived, not listed. There is manaakitanga in how you will be treated here. Your wellbeing is not an afterthought. It is the whole point.

How we work

Flexibility that fits a real life.

Some of our people are employed, some work with us as contractors, and we shape that around the person and the work rather than forcing everyone into one mould.

Much of what we do is delivered virtually, so you can work from wherever you are in Aotearoa. Some of it is out in the community. You will have real say over your schedule and your caseload.

We would rather build a role around a good person than force a good person into a fixed shape. When we talk, we will be straight with you about how the work is structured, what is employed, what is contracted, and what we can flex.

Get in touch.

We would rather meet good people early than miss them. If what we do resonates, send us a short note about who you are and the work you want to do. We read every one, and we will be honest about where things sit.
