Tania is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Te Whatu Ora Waitematā and has her own private practice. She has a wealth of experience in leadership and governance roles, currently a board member of Brain Tumour Support Trust and has served on the executive of the New Zealand Psychological Society for 6 years, most recently as President.
Skills and Experience
As a registered clinical psychologist for over 25 years, Tania has extensive experience in the field and has a particular interest in professional and clinical supervision. She is cofounder of Supervision Collective Aotearoa. Tania is an accredited practitioner and trainer in several evidence based parenting programmes. She holds a current annual practicing certificate and is committed to ongoing professional development, having trained in a range of therapeutic models.
Dedicated to honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tania is committed to using Te Tiriti informed and mana enhancing approaches. As tangata tiriti, Tania has been actively involved in initiatives to support Maori psychology and improving outcomes for tangata whenua. She has a strong focus on workforce development, including training for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioners, and serves as a Parenting Advisor and Trainer at Whāraurau National Workforce Development Centre.
