How we can help
-
Psychosocial hazard assessment.
Evidence-based online survey — 24 workplace hazard factors, ten minutes per person, results interpreted by a registered psychologist.
Outcome: You know what's going on, you can prove you've looked, and you have a plan to act on it.
-
Enhanced EAP.
Most EAPs don't work for lawyers. This one does. Registered psychologists who understand high-pressure environments, client demands, and partnership dynamics.
Outcome: Your people actually use it. You see the difference in retention and performance.
-
Executive & lawyer coaching.
Confidential, proactive support for partners managing teams and pressure, and associates building sustainable careers. Not therapy — practical tools.
Outcome: Good people stay and keep performing. Problems get caught early.
Why it matters now
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, psychosocial hazards must be managed with the same rigour as physical hazards. WorkSafe's Good Practice Guidelines make this explicit.
NZ courts are acting on it. Awards for psychosocial harm now exceed $225,000 in a single case, and the precedent is clear: employers must assess and plan proactively, not just respond after the harm is done.
In December 2024, Australia delivered its first conviction of a Commonwealth employer for failing to manage psychosocial risks. NZ's health and safety legislation is modelled on the same framework.
"It seems only a matter of time before there is a similar prosecution in relation to a failure to manage psychosocial risks in a New Zealand workplace."
